Following a particularly unpleasant bout of heat exhaustion after a bike commute on an abnormally hot day in 2019, I became interested in learning more about heat stress prevention in the face of a changing climate.* Heatstress.org was born out of a desire to know the conditions around me and to share these results with others in the interest of public health and safety for workers, athletes, vulnerable groups, and the general public.
PCL was formed to respond to the climate adaptation needs of companies, organizations, and individuals. We recognize climate change to be one of the most pressing risks of the near future and work to equip organizations with the knowledge they need to confidently address climate-related risks in their operations.
